HORNBACK CROCODILE

When thinking exotic leather, crocodile and alligator are always on the list. Pictured here is a crocodile skin. Crocodile and alligator skins are a durable leather, with an unmistakable look and texture. The larger the skin, the more valuable it is, so the price of each skin is determined by it's width. STINGRAY

Genuine stingray has a rough but beautiful texture. You can see how the pebbles on the skin sparkle in the light. Every stingray skin has a pearly white diamond like shape in the middle of its back. Stingray skins are very small (About 10"-12" wide and 20"-24" long). Stingray are perfect for small chopper motorcycle seats, but can also be used as inserts on larger seats, and in auto interiors. The top photo shows the typical stingray skins, and the second picture shows a polished skin on the right and a "row" stingray on the left. Row stingrays are very beautiful skins, but are getting harder and harder to get. Call for pricing.

OSTRICH

Ostrich leather is an exquisite leather, distinguished by its tell-tale pattern of quill sockets (where the stem of the feather meets the skin). Ostrich is soft to the touch, and is both flexible and durable. The top two photos show typical ostrich skin, and the bottom photo shows ostrich legs. Although small, ostrich legs make cool inserts. SHARK

Shark leather has a very grainy surface. Shark leeather is fairly thick, but stretchy and easy to work with. Shark leather is one of the toughest leathers known to man. By various calculations it has been assessed at from 7 to 11 times stronger than cowhide. Shark skins come in odd shapes, like the one shown above. Like many exotic leathers, shark works well on motorcycle seats and for inserts in car interiors. Please call for current prices.

FROGS & LIZARDS

Both skins above are very small, especially the frog skins. Lizards work well as inserts and on small motorcycle seats. The frog skins have a very unique pattern, but would have to be used as very small inserts. Call for availability and pricing.

SHRUNKEN BULL

Shrunken bull leather has a very grainy surface. Like shark, it is very durable and long-lasting. Shrunken bull leather has a distressed look and feel to it. It is thicker than regular leather, but soft and easy to work with.
